Ruzindana Rugasa is a result-oriented Communications Professional with experience in leading high-performing Communication teams, he is is an outstanding team player, an innovative and idealistic communications manager, and an exemplary organizer and mobilizer able to effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize.

Rugasa is a highly-motivated, deadline-committed and goal-driven strategic communication professional with over 14 years of experience and a proven track record of excellence. Some of his core skills include strategic communication advisory, understanding of modern communication styles and tools and the ability to develop high-standard communication products for a global audience.

His most recent role was the Advisor to the Minister of State at the Ministry of Youth and Culture of the Republic of Rwanda, where his key role was to ensure that the policies and communication strategies across the ministry are well coordinated, effectively managed and responsive to diverse needs of the public and other stakeholders including the media. He also served as the spokesperson of the ministry and communications advisor on key issues in the media and appropriate responses to take.

Before joining the Ministry of Youth and Culture, he worked as the Content Researcher at the Office of the Government Spokesperson – An institution in charge of overseeing and coordinating the effective communication of Rwanda's story to audiences at home and abroad. He also worked as the Managing Editor, Chief Editor, Editor and Senior Journalist for different media houses.

Rugasa holds a Master's of Science in Mass Communication with a concentration in Development Communication and a Bachelor's Degree in International Economics.

In addition to his mother tongue, Kinyarwanda, Rugasa speaks English and French.
