Zoë Ariel Dunning, also known by Zack (ze/they/he), is a queer, trans writer by nature and trade, born and based in Kansas City, Missouri. Ze is primarily a creative composer, poetry being zir forté and passion, but ze’s dabbled in journalism and written for various publications and blogs.
They are a three time finalist in the Kansas City Poetry Slam, a participant in the 2022-23 KC Grand Slam, and have been featured at Poetic Underground KC twice.
They are published by On-the-High Literary Journal, The Flying Ketchup Press, and others and regularly pour themself out to perfect strangers at open mics. When they’re not, they’re writing poetry like solving a puzzle. Just one last line to crack the code!
He writes both fact and fiction about his queer experience, religious upbringing, trauma, polyamory, mental illness, disability, neurodivergence, and making sense of it all.
