anarchist abolitionary therapist practicing virtually in PA. content not necessarily indicative of how I conduct therapy sessions
Over the past few years there has been a proliferation of therapists, psychologists, coaches, and gurus who are creating content aimed at the "mental health" marketplace.
Many (not all) of them are reproducing tired narratives saturated in individualism, colonialism, objectification, pathology, sickness, blaming, etc.
My content is different. I am creating at the intersections of:
Trauma as a framework to help us understand individual and systemic harm and violence,
Grieving and community building as being keys to healing from and addressing trauma and making sure that less trauma is being produced over time,
Critiquing mental health institutions and practices from my perspective as a therapist, as well as other institutions and practices, that get in the way of grieving and community building,
Deconstructing systems of oppression that get in the way of grieving and community building,
Anarchy as offering us a vision for a radically changed society,
Relationship Anarchy as being a way to bring anarchist principles and values into practice in interpersonal relationships,
And finally, offering perspectives gleaned from my own healing process.
Please note that I cannot provide individualized support unless you are one of my therapy clients. If you send me messages about your challenging life situation I will be unable to reply.
If you are interested in therapy with me and are located within the US state of Pennsylvania, you can contact me through my therapy website.
