In February 2016, Ben quit his day job and moved into his music studio.
No kitchen. No shower. No money. Just a suitcase full of clothes and a guitar.
Since then, Ben released his #1 selling debut EP “Ben Johnson - EP”. He has written with some of the best songwriters in the world, and released his first full length album, "Bring Me Home” in February 2020 which has accumulated over 1,000,000 streams across streaming platforms.
Ben is proud to be a CMA Artist Member since 2019.
Originally from Roseville, Minnesota, Ben is a member of the Midwest Country Music Organization. Since 2018, Ben is a 12x Midwest County Music Award nominee for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year.
In 2022, Ben was named by the Nashville Songwriters Association as the “One to Watch” - a huge honor from a long running Nashville establishment.
