Born in St. Croix and raised in St. John, he embodies a rich family legacy that extends over seven generations. Angel's career is marked by versatility and achievement in both public and private sectors.
A bilingual in English and Spanish, Angel's values of compassion, respect, hard work, unity, hospitality, and resilience are influenced by his late father, Angel L. Bolques Sr., and his mother, Patricia Powell-Mitchell. His professional journey includes roles such as Senator At Large in the 34th & 35th Legislatures of the Virgin Islands, Legislative Researcher, Board of Education Member, National Committeeman for the Democratic Party of the Virgin Islands, and Board Member for various non-profit organizations.
Angel's dedication to public service earned him the title of 2016 Government Employee of the Year by the Election Systems of the Virgin Islands. He has also served as an Administrator and Computer Technology Teacher at Gift Hill School, St. John, and gained significant experience in the hospitality and retail sectors.
