A place for all my links, since if I link to toplesstopics.org directly Youtube will ban it as "porn"! (It's not)
Topless Topics is a community and creative project aimed at de-stigmatizing and de-sexualizing female toplessness in public and on social media the same way male toplessness was in the 1950s, through repeat exposure and peaceful acts of civil disobedience.
Founded, created, and maintained by Cleo, it began as a Youtube channel on November 7, 2014. Cleo was inspired to start the Topless Topics project in response to the comments she received when she submitted her entry to the “Naked Truth” video series, started by Trisha Hershberger of SourceFed fame. However, as Cleo’s Youtube audience grew, so did the amount of trolls that falsely reported the videos as “pornographic content.” Subsequently Youtube began to take some videos down, while hiding all the others under “mature media” censorship bans, which hide the videos from search results and require a logged-in account for a user claiming to be over 18 years old in order to watch. So, Cleo migrated to Vimeo, an alternative video-hosting website with a much more artistic- and freeform-leaning community, but unfortunately far, far fewer viewers than Youtube or any similarly popular social media platform.
