The artist known as Mr. Roswell's Neighborhood (aka MRN, @roswellsplace) -
Mr. Roswell's Neighborhood is the alias of Baltimore based instrumental electronic music artist and visual artist (Aaron X).
The more or less official incept date of the project is the summer of 2011 when the name was formed in a basement in Pennsylvania.
It's trial and error of all names past and previous inspired by both all and none, the individual and the collective, the storm and the hive, nature vs. nurture, space vs. pollination, it's about the positivity and optimism that inevitably fails in the face of human nature and wants you to desperately understand all it's failures.
It wants to be left alone and held in the arms of monsters until it's caged and broken, reciting all those things you thought you could accomplish in a lifetime.
It wants to be enough for someone or something, knowing nothing is ever enough.
To know nothing and everything is the life of an alien, forced into existence by the societal necessity for outcasts.
The artist has provided a short list for what MRN is/is not despite the name:
What it isn't:
- about alients/ET's/paranormal/the occult etc. -
- about a publicly broadcasted children's behavioral program -
